MISSING KURT COBAIN

Each year I remember the stars that touched me the most. At this very time and moment I would like to remember Kurt Cobain. I spent last night playing music by Nirvana and dreaming of Kurt Cobain. Oh it was such a wonderful dream! It was a dream and fantasy of sorts. This dream was so beautiful and lovely. I dreamed that I was at a Nirvana concert and Kurt Cobain was singing Love Buzz and looking right at me.
I felt a weird sensation go all over my body and soul. Then I woke up and it was (Just a Fantasy/Dream)! It was just one of the many emotions that I go through each anniversary year when I remember my favorite stars.
LOOKING UP AND SENDING A GREAT BIG CHEER TO YOU KURT. I LOVE AND MISS YOU.....BUT YOUR MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FOREVER AND EVER!

ROCK & ROLL MUSIC

This story is not meant to be long. It is just a few reflections on rock & roll music and what it means to me.
I'm a performer and songwriter. I've written over 350 songs and poems to date that was published and copyrighted under ASCAP. When I write a song I go about it in a very unusual way. I put on an old Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin (you get where I'm coming from?) song. It doesn't matter if I'm writing a folk song, gospel song, or classical song. I always need to hear an old rock & roll tune to get me in the spirit of it all. I've always had a special attraction to rock music.
Some of my all time favorite bands and singers in rock & roll were around decades before I was ever born, but I play their music today just as if it was released last week. To name just a few (Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page, The Beatles (Paul, John, George & Ringo), The Rolling Stones, Bad Company, Foghat, Deep Purple, and The Doors). I'm still entranced by Jim Morrison. I love reading about this great artist. He was so special and talented.
Some of my favorite rock bands and artists in the later years are Def Leppard, RedRum, AC/DC, Heart, Skill In Veins, VooDoo Highway, AveKey, Bon Jovi, Wild Rose, Lil Angel, Tasos Farinis, Van Halen, Wild Kitten, Lou Gramm, IsIs Child, Pat Benatar, DeadLine, Aerosmith, Cinderella, The Unsatisfied, and many more. The point that I'm trying to convey here is that I Love Rock & Roll (Joan Jett said it best in her hit song from many years ago). To this day I have a huge collection of all styles of music from the 1940's to the present. I'm constantly listening to music and I still love pulling out a Jimi Hendrix tune to get me all fired up. I just would like to say again that I do love all music and I perform and write all styles of music. There is just something about rock & roll that sticks to me like glue and this didn't just happen. I've felt this way for as long as I can remember as a little girl at the age of three (I was rockin to the beat of rock music).....I LOVE ROCK & ROLL BECAUSE IT'S IN MY VEINS!
I'm sitting here playing Elvis Presley tunes, tapping my feet to All Shook Up & Don't Be Cruel. I love Elvis' music.
I love watching old Presley classic rock & roll movies, and when I watch those films I find myself singing along with him when he performs a song. I remember a few months ago on the road I wanted to play Led Zeppelin music all week long. I remember how hard it was for me to fall asleep because I was trying to sing along with every song on the CD (hahaha).
Kashmir by Led Zeppelin is still one of my favorites and a song in my music collection.
The craziest thing happened a few weeks ago. I was in a total 70's rock music mood and I wanted to play all rock music classics from the 1970's. Something took complete control of me when I started playing the Foghat song (Slow Ride).
I started blasting this song as loud as it would go at full volume and no one with me was spared. Let's just say when it was all said and done I had everyone in the place singing along with me 'Slow Ride Take It Easy'.

One of my special gifts for Christmas was a beautiful guitar, Rico had this guitar made just for me (now i really must learn to play this thing) I love it!!!
Yeah that's about all I really wanted to say and just reflect on the music that I love, crave, desire, and go completely wild for.....ROCK & ROLL IS FOREVER AND IN MY HEART.....ROCK & ROLL LIVES.....I LOVE ROCK & ROLL!

Just one listen and I knew that I would love the music of Alessandro Ferrais. I heard his music before meeting him, and let me tell you, it was something quite special. I played four of his songs to get the feel of his style, but within seconds of listening to the first song I was highly impressed with his delivery of the song, "IL Centro DELLE Distanze."
The music was great, (guitar, bass, the whole nine yards). I loved the entire package. I took some special time to focus on his voice, which I also loved (smooth vocals with a touch of rock and roll). Each song had its very own flavor. Take for instance the song "L'INTERSEZIONE". It has amazing vocals and some outstanding guitar riffs, and sound of harmonicas throughout. It is rock meets the
blues.

After playing the music of Alessandro Ferrais I left with a feeling of pure satisfaction. He had a song that met all of my musical needs. I read many reviews about artists and I was reading some amazing ones about Alessandro Ferrais. I was impressed by what I read, and of course, that only made me want to play his music for myself.
I expected it to be really good anyway, so once I played it I was knocked off my feet by this great artist/musician/songwriter. His perfect arrangements in songs and music had a great impact on me very quickly. I listened carefully to each of his songs and the more I played them, the more they entered into my heart. It was like taking a hold of something special and not wanting to let it go.
Alessandro Ferrais has a wonderful style that I find very appealing. The music, the lyrics, his outstanding vocals, and the way he delivers a song is nothing short of spectacular. Ferrais è un artista per il quale la definizione di cantautore nel senso più stretto del termine non risulta appropriata.
Fin da piccolo la sua curiosità di scrutare attraverso le stanze dell'anima, il mondo labirintico dei sentimenti e delle relazioni con le radici dell’esistenza lo ha spinto a scrivere poesie (molte delle quali perse) in modo viscerale ed ossessivo fino all’incontro - scontro con la chitarra, "strumento" e "veicolo" che lo incitano alla sintesi ed ad un modo diverso di esplorare la natura enigmatica della realtà.
La volontà di portare a compimento lo sforzo ed il sacrificio artistico ( dato che la sua occupazione principale come segretario presso uno studio dentistico lo porta a dover lavorare quasi 10 ore al giorno), lo conducono ad un periodo di fortissimo stress ed un conseguente isolamento che lo accompagnano nell'insostenibile spaccatura della sua identità.
L'aspetto live intanto continua tra Festival Rock 2008 di Santa Viola - Azzago (Vr) dove riceve molti consensi ed apprezzamenti pur esibendosi da solo rispetto alle bands.
Il concerto per Sanremo Rock 2008 al People of Art Modena lo conduce a suonare al Teatro dei Colli a Siena e successivamente in altri locali ed eventi del centro Nord Italia (Festa della Musica Cervia, Piazza Duomo, showcases in locali/radio).
L'attività parallela di poeta lo porta a riunire in due raccolte dal titolo "La tana dei sussurri" e " La posa del silenzio ".
L'album contiene 10 tracce e porterà alla luce in modo marcato la versatilità e la poetica della musica Ferrais, artista capace di superare e rinnovare i perimetri costrittori dei generi musicali, di aderire al divario tra mainstream e musica alternativa. Lo stile di Ferrais porta una ventata di freschezza e di novità 'nella scena rock italiana, offrendo un approccio compositivo ed un sound molto particolare ed originale.
L'attenzione e la cura per i dettagli derivano da ascolti di gruppi o artisti quali Deus, Cure, Joy Division, Battiato, Yo la tengo, Mum, David Sylvian, De Andrè e tanti altri come gruppi della scena turca quali Orient Exspression, Mercant Dede. Il disco è un mosaico di canzoni ognuna connessa all’altra pur nella propria identità: ci saranno brani dream pop come “Il pezzo mancante” ,“ Il mio codice” e “Libellula” , altri piu’ cupi ed elegantemente aggressivi nel messaggio quali “ Il centro delle distanze” ed “ La migliore espressione” , ballate eteree “Tutto copre la marea” e “Fame d’aria”, virate rock “L’intersezione” e “ La sfinge” fino a cavalcate musicali come “Introspecting song”.

Ferrais è un artista per il quale la definizione di cantautore nel senso più stretto del termine non risulta appropriata.
Fin da piccolo la sua curiosità di scrutare attraverso le stanze dell'anima, il mondo labirintico dei sentimenti e delle relazioni con le radici dell’esistenza lo ha spinto a scrivere poesie (molte delle quali perse) in modo viscerale ed ossessivo fino all’incontro - scontro con la chitarra, "strumento" e "veicolo" che lo incitano alla sintesi ed ad un modo diverso di esplorare la natura enigmatica della realtà.
Il suo occhio artistico solo in principio si ispira ad una fonte musicale di taglio autoriale italiana ma da subito la sua "navigazione" si dirige verso l'esplorazione di sound e territori musicali oltre i confini italiani: ottica di una visione artistica prismatica, senza confini ed internazionale.
Questa propensione naturale, assolutamente istintiva di approdare sulle coste frastagliate dell'arte, rappresenta la ricchezza del suo stile: un abbraccio tra passato presente e futuro, imprevedibile, eterno e sempre in divenire.
La decisione violentemente artistica di non sentirsi rappresentato dalla sua band nell’esecuzioni live delle proprie canzoni, lo reclude per un periodo ad uno specie di isolamento atto al riprogettare il tutto in chiave solista a scapito della complessità dell'arrangiamento.
La realizzazione sofferta (in quanto minimamente rappresentativa della sua musica) di una demo contente 3 brani dal titolo "Tutto copre la Marea " lo occupa nella spedizione di tale progetto.
In poco tempo riceve le prime risposte e proposte da labels ed etichette discografiche che apprezzano il suo modo di comporre fuori dallo schema dualistico e riduttivo tra musica mainstrean ed il mondo alternative indi italiano e lui sceglie una piccola etichetta bresciana che è anche casa editrice. Inizia cosi’ un percorso live con l'organizzazione di eventi che lo portano a suonare in Piazza Duomo a Brescia, nel rinomato locale bolognese il Giostra' per la Notte Legale e poi un susseguirsi di interviste e di live tutti cercati e promossi da se stesso o in vari casi proposti da operatori del settori (radio,tv) che lo contattano: un lavoro estenuante diviso tra il suo essere artista e l'aspetto manageriale.

Questa difficile decisione e la volontà di non soccombervi, aprono in maniera quasi magica delle porte inaspettate: infatti Ferrais viene contattato dal Direttore Generale Guido De Gaetano della casa discografica di Bologna, la CancanMusicpublishing, il quale si innamora sue canzoni e decide di investire artisticamente su di lui.
Da questo incontro nasce l’album dal titolo enigmatico "Il centro delle distanze".

Intanto continua l’attività live in locali ed eventi in Italia: da segnalare il concerto del 9 Luglio al Palazzetto dello Sport presso l’università il Cus di Pisa dove è allestito un’intero spazio per la CancanMusicpublishing e dove erano presenti RadioBruno e l’emittente televisiva ABN video. La promozione e la presentazione in anteprima dell’album inizia il 17/10/2011 per poi proseguire ufficialmente da Gennaio 2012. Appena dopo un mese dall’uscita dell’album disponibile solo su Itunes e sul sito della casa discografica i brani del disco stanno avendo riscontri molto positivi. Ecco cosa è accaduto in un mese.

Let me get right to it. A friend sent me the music of this amazing artist and she asked me to check him out. I'm always excited upon receiving new music and material to listen to. On a weekly basis I get dozens of videos and music in my mail or email to check out or just to enjoy. This artist does it all! Aside from making some of the best music in the world, he also composes films and is a television reporter. He's an extraordinary artist!
I'm sitting here right now enjoying his music video "Blues Jazz from Austin Texas". What a powerful sound! I would like to call the music of Nick Jones "Good Vibes Music" (soothing, calming, a great way to relax your mind). It's like getting a really good massage when you hear it. He also composes music that makes you want to get up and dance and music that makes you think.
To sum it up, his music comes straight from the soul. I always appreciate music that comes from a person's soul because I know it is real and has great meaning. I invite you to check out this artist for yourself. I love the fact that I can recommend an artist or musician to you and you check them out, but I would like for you to stop by online and indulge yourself in the great sounds of Mr. Instrumentalist. I know good music when I hear it and his music goes a step further. The music is great because it's pure relaxation for the mind, body, and soul.
He's an artist I would like to work with and whenever I visit Texas again I will look him up. I have to meet this musical genius! Please put your support behind him. Purchase his music and if you're fortunate enough please catch one of his live shows.
